I’ve been attending groups at Prospect House for over ten years. I have learned not to project negative thoughts. Its vital to have coping skills. I’ve learned how to make friends. I take mood stabilizers like vistaril and celexa. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Other things I’ve learned are self esteem and confidence. You learn at Prospect House to live in the moment. I feel the benefits all the time since I have been a member. You can conquer shyness, and are accepted for who you are. I highly recommend becoming a member. My horizons have expanded since I have been a member. – Tom K., July 2015
‘I have learned not to project negative thoughts’
The staff and peers at Prospect House convinced me to stay on my medication, especially when I was not feeling good …They encouraged me to join the activities and not to stay home in isolation, feeling depressed and sorry for myself. Prospect House saved me from a life of denial, misery and isolation. — Parry L.
