High Hopes Society
The “High Hopes Society” has been in existence for nine years. It is comprised of people who have pledged unrestricted funds in multiple year pledges to Mental Health Community Centers (MHCC) so that it can continue to serve the needs of its members in all of its four centers. The almost 100 members of this society believe in the mission of MHCC and support its programs.
WHEN and WHERE: At 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Michael’s on East we will host a breakfast event called the High Hopes Breakfast. It consists of a one hour program during which the programs and accomplishments of the year are discussed and the direction for the coming year is put forward. There is a professional agency video produced each year featuring the stories of recovery of various members. There is also a live testimonial given by a member who’s life has been touched by their involvement with MHCC. An invitation to join the High Hopes Society is issued at this time.
WHO: High Hopes Society members are people in the community who have been invited to tour one or all of MHCC’s facilities and have made a connection with the mission. They may be members of the Board of Directors, Family members and caregivers of the mentally ill, staff, relatives of members, members, or simply people in the community who have connected emotionally with MHCC. During the year various “feel good” events are held for High Hopes Society members to thank them for their involvement.
WHY: These donations play a vital role in the sustainability of MHCC’s programs and activities.
