Position: Director of Development

Mental Health Community Centers, Inc., is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Director of Development with excellent written and verbal communication skills. In conjunction with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors, the candidate will lead strategic planning resource development and community engagement. These efforts include, but are not limited to, foundation and grant support, major donor gifting, corporate sponsorship solicitation, event planning and social media marketing. The successful candidate will have above average interpersonal skills and competencies in MS word, excel spreadsheets, publisher, and knowledge of donor base software. Must be a strong team player. Position: The Director of Development reports to the Executive Director, and in conjunction with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors, the Director of Development will lead strategic planning resource development and community engagement. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Mental Health Community Center’s annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Manage the implementation E-Tapestry donor base software and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
  • Overseeing organization of special events
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.

Qualifications:

  • AA required, BA a plus
  • 5-plus years experience in development
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communications skills
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud’s E-Tapestry Software
